This estate in Richards already had strong bones when we arrived — a pool house, a pavilion, established brickwork, and generous seasonal color beds throughout. The owner had invested in the hardscape and structure. Our job was to design and install the plantings that would tie everything together and give the property a layered, finished look from every angle.
Around the pool area, we installed holly trees in the island planters for year-round structure and privacy as they mature, along with ornamental shrubs and seasonal color selected to perform through the Texas heat. A Peggy Martin climbing rose was trained on the garage trellis — a detail that adds vertical interest and softens the architecture beautifully as it fills in each season.
The white colonial house at the front received its own treatment — entry plantings, boulder-anchored flower beds packed with seasonal color, and manicured lawn that complement the architecture without competing with it. From the street, the property reads as cared-for and considered at every level.
